Everything that turns a D.O.A. body into a finished lure. Soft plastics are consumables and the hardware outlives them many times over, so buying heads, hooks and weights separately is both cheaper and the way most experienced anglers stock a bag.
What is here and what it does
Jig heads
Short shank for 3" Shad Tails, 4" Jerk Baits, Curl Tails and Grubs. Long shank and Premium long shank for 4" Shad Tails, 5.5" Jerk Baits and Swim Baits. Size-by-size guidance is on the C.A.L. Hooks
- 3" Shrimp Hooks and 4" Shrimp Hooks — replacements, 10 to a pack, so you can fish bodies-only shrimp.
- Long Neck Offset Worm Hooks — for weedless C.A.L. rigs. Pair with pinch weights.
- Needlepoint Screw Hooks — 7/0 spring-screw. The PT-7 replacement, and the right hook for the Swim Bait and 5.5" Jerk Bait.
- Bait Buster Jigs — the weighted hook the Bait Buster is built on.
Weights and add-ons
C.A.L. Pinch Weights pinch onto a hook shank to control casting distance and sink rate without giving up a weedless presentation. Shrimp Weights replace the internal weight in 3" and 4" shrimp. Glass Rattles add sound to any soft plastic — worth it in stained water and at night.
Changing the head, changing the lure
A Chug Head turns any C.A.L. soft plastic into a topwater or a diver. A Hot Head adds a contrasting head color with holographic eyes. Both are the cheapest way to make a bait you already own look like something the fish have not seen.
